Our Connection to the Concert Hall

Mystic Music Events comes out of the concert hall, not the wedding market. In 2023, Tom Readett founded the Mystic Chamber Music Series, a nonprofit chamber music series in Mystic that now reaches more than 10,000 students a year. A season is not just repertoire. It is contracts with conservatory-trained players, venue logistics, sound reinforcement, and a schedule that has to hold when a musician hits traffic on I-95, when a church door is locked, when the power cuts twenty minutes before downbeat. Very little that goes wrong at an event has not already gone wrong at a concert. Mystic Music Events works from that same footing. The roster is drawn from the same professional network and held to the same standard, and the planning behind every booking assumes the day will need someone who has already solved the problem once.
